Sharon is accredited with the IACP, the Irish Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, and adheres to code of ethic and practice for psychotherapists and the National Childrens First Guidelines. She has years experience working in the field of counselling / psychotherapy and complementary health.
Sharon is a professional psychotherapist/counselor and complementary health therapist. She is a qualified, experienced practitioner bringing a broad range of expertise to the understanding of stress- related personal, mental health and work issues. Sharon has been involved in personal development for over 20 years and is a practising meditation and yoga teacher.
Sharon has completed numerous trainings to teach mindfulness-based approaches and meditation. She has completed the 8-Week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction programme with Jon Kabat-Zinn. Early on she had a particular interest in Buddhism and studied and went on regular retreats. She completed the Mindfulness for Life professional one-year training with the BAMBA-accredited Youth Mindfulness in Scotland, to teach adults mindfulness in Scotland.
As a professional psychotherapist, Sharon is a graduate of the Tivoli Institute DĂșn Laoghaire, Dublin. As part of her Continuous Professional Development, she has completed over the years several trainings for professionals in trauma-informed therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness and compassion practices and shamanic practices.
Her work is inspired by the transformation she has experienced personally through meditation, yoga and therapy.
